Our mission

Building the learning infrastructure for an AI-native generation.

A future where AI helps every student become better at doing their own work.

A note from our founders

Learning is the point.

We believe AI is quietly destroying the way students learn. But we believe it can also be the tool that saves education.

Completing work used to tell us something.

For the first time in history, every student has access to a tool that can answer almost any question, solve almost any homework problem, and write almost any essay in seconds. Students are completing assignments faster than ever, but that doesn’t mean they’re learning more.

The fundamental problem is that our education system was built around the assumption that completing work demonstrates understanding. AI has broken that assumption.

Today, a student can submit perfect homework without understanding a single concept. Teachers have almost no visibility into what students actually know until an exam, when it’s often too late to intervene. The feedback loop between teaching and learning is broken.

We are building Jade to restore that feedback loop.

A tutor that grows with the student.

Jade is an AI learning platform that helps students develop understanding rather than simply giving them answers. Instead of acting as another chatbot that completes assignments, Jade acts as a persistent tutor that understands each student’s knowledge, misconceptions, strengths, and weaknesses over time.

Every interaction helps Jade build a deeper model of how that student learns. It knows when to explain, when to ask questions, when to challenge a student, and when to step back and let them figure something out themselves.

But the bigger opportunity is what happens on the other side of the classroom.

For the first time, teachers can have continuous visibility into how every student is learning. Instead of discovering gaps in understanding after a test, teachers can identify exactly where students are struggling as those gaps emerge.

We don’t believe AI should replace teachers.

We believe it should make teachers
way more effective.

Our vision is to build the learning infrastructure that connects students, teachers, and schools through a continuously evolving understanding of every student.

A first step toward something larger.

Our bet is that the next generation of educational software won’t be built around static assignments, generic chatbots, or dashboards that teachers rarely use. It will be built around a persistent model of each student that grows more useful with every interaction.

We’ve built systems that give AI agents memory and the ability to act. Now we’re applying those capabilities to something we believe matters far more: helping students genuinely learn.

This is only our first step toward a much larger vision. We believe the expansion of AI presents one of the greatest risks to human learning, but also one of the greatest opportunities to reinvent it. The goal isn’t simply to build a better tutor. It’s to discover the optimal interface between students, teachers, and technology.

After countless conversations with educators and school administrators, we’ve become convinced that the way students interact with technology needs to be fundamentally rethought. Today’s classrooms are built around devices and software designed for completing assignments, not developing understanding.

We envision a future where that changes entirely, potentially through a new category of learning devices built from the ground up for education. We believe the company that builds a trusted, persistent relationship with every student will have the opportunity to become the foundation of the next generation of education technology. Jade is our first step toward building that future.

The future of education shouldn’t be AI doing students’ work. It should be AI making every student better at doing their own.

A painted, sunlit classroom: students and a teacher learning together, Jade’s green mascot beside a tutoring tablet, an open notebook and pen, a teacher dashboard, and a compact Jade computer concept.

Software today

A tutor beside you

A hint on the work in front of you. Jade points to what matters and asks a question that helps you take the next step.

Future concept

Room for pen and paper

A possible next step: a pen and learning surface that could connect handwritten work to Jade, keeping paper part of how students learn.

Software today

A clearer view for teachers

See who asked for help, what they’re working on, and what Jade said. More context for the next conversation with a student.

Hardware concept

A little box. A bigger possibility.

An idea we’re exploring: a compact classroom computer that could run parts of Jade locally. A future possibility, not a device available today.

An illustrated vision of the future. Hardware and interfaces are concepts.
